In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and subsequent Amendments in 2008 (“ADA”), Ohio University will not discriminate against qualified individuals on the basis of disability in its 服务, 项目, or activities.

Modifications to Policies and Procedures

Ohio University will make all reasonable modifications to policies and 项目 to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all of its 项目, 服务, and activities.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or 服务 for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, 服务, or activity of Ohio University, should contact the Office of University Accessibility at 740-593-2620 or email access@俄亥俄州.edu as soon as possible but no later than 72 hours before the scheduled event.

The ADA does not require Ohio University to take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its 项目 or 服务, or impose an undue financial or administrative burden.

Ohio University will not place a surcharge on a particular individual with a disability or any group of individuals with disabilities to cover the cost of providing auxiliary aids/服务 or reasonable modifications of policy, such as retrieving items from locations that are open to the public but are not accessible to persons who use wheelchairs.
